I have a large assortment of Pratt & Whitney R-985 and R-1340 crankcases, nose cases, accessory cases and induction cases.  Many are still covered in cosmoline, some are overhauled, some are smashed from engine failures or impact. Yikes!  Contact me if you are interested in P&W parts for aircraft use or just for hangar decorations.  These items also make wonderful gifts for the wife.

Ercoupe tail stinger.  Good condition.  Univair wants $386 for this item.  They are very proud of their stuff aren't they?  Price $125, includes shipping to US addresses.

Pacer or Tri-Pacer right side door.  Fair condition for restoring. With handles.  Price $125, includes shipping to US addresses.

Not sure what this fits, and Aeronca Chief maybe?  Pretty rough shape, but maybe some useful parts?

The old door you have belongs to a pre WW11 Aeronca "Super Chief" The key clue here was the forward raked rear portion of the door. Only the "Super Chief' had this feature, the standard pre WWII chief had a straight rear door post. Interesting fact the Pre WWII Chief and "Super Chief" were faster then the post war model which was made out of 7AC Champ components and was 10 MPH slower at 85MPH cruise. the Pre WW!! model was more streamlined and had a different airfoil.

Price $125, includes shipping to US addresses.

This is an Aeromatic prop.  Not sure what it came off of.  It is marked "unairworthy" possibly because one of the tips is damaged.  Other than that, it is in pretty good shape.  Quite an attractive prop and in good condition.  This one belongs to someone else.  Contact me for their contact info.

Cessna 150 control yoke.  Slightly bent on one arm. Probably from a crash.  Yuck.  Useful for ???  Price $125, includes shipping to US addresses.

Trim tabs from the Space Shuttle for all I know.  Make offer.

Stinson 108 parts.  The second longest green part is a leading edge slat.

Univair gets  $205 for a LE slat.  Fits either wing.  Price $125 for the leading edge slat only.  Price includes shipping to US addresses.  This item is currently on Ebay, week of 7-4-06.

The small flat part is the top of a 108-3 rudder skin, p/n 2602100-8, Univair price $136.  Not so sure about the two bare aluminum parts, but they appear brand new.  They were in paper that was marked "Stinson 108" but I don't recognize them as 108 parts.  They look like outboard LE skins, but 108s don't have any like these.  ??  Email an offer if you're interested in the other small parts.

Stinson 108 parts.  A very nice flap.  A couple of small dings, but nothing major.  One is visible on the upper left of the second photo.  This flap is for the right side, I think.  Verify before you buy. Univair gets $347 for a yellow tag flap.  Price $250 for the flap only.  Price includes shipping to US addresses.  This item is currently on Ebay, week of 7-4-06.

More Stinson 108 parts... gear legs.  Two appear useable, one is bent and is for decorative purposes only.  Univair wants $1200 for these items!  I believe that these are all LEFT side.  Price $350 each, includes shipping to US addresses.  (Email an offer if you want the bent one.)

An instrument panel... good shape, but geez... how many instruments does one plane need?  Must be from a twin?  Make offer.

NOS seatback.  No holes in it. Appears new, just soiled.  No idea what it goes on.  Make offer.

Junky Piper cowling.  One side might be useable, but probably the only reason anyone would want these is to steal the Piper emblems and use them elsewhere, stick 'em on your restoration, make earrings for the wife, etc.

OTOH, I suppose some whacky Piper enthusiast could get Kent White to straighten them for use on some Oshkosh award winner.  Who knows?

The beat up cowl sections with the stamped Piper nameplates appear to be off a 1946 PA-12 Super Cruiser. The Cruiser cowl had beaded strips to stiffen the cowl doors and I don't recall if the stamped nameplates were used before the war.

$100, includes US shipping.

Gear leg from ???  Make offer.

Twin Beech elevator.  Good shape.  Needs to be cleaned up and recovered.  Make offer.  Sorry, no shipping on this big honker.

BD-5 aft fuselage skin?  I wonder where the rest of it went?  Price $65, includes shipping to US addresses.

Good Ag plane door with good hinge.  I suppose that the pilot got hot and tossed this off to the side and it got misplaced.  No plexi.  Price $45, includes shipping to US addresses.

A Luscombe pre-1946 left wing.  Mostly good condition, spars fair, and LE edge ribs are missing or squashed due to idiots storing it on its LE for many years.  Here's some Luscombe wing info that I got from a Luscombe expert:

Just FYI the Luscombe 8 series had 3 wing versions. the pre war rag wing was made of built-up ribs. This was re-designed during the war to a stamped rib, and the strut length changed. Both were covered in fabric and dope.

In mid 1946 they introduced a metal wing that used the same spars, but was of a semi monococque design. the skin on that wing was .016, and one could order .020 for better hail resistance, at a weight trade of about 35#.

The same aluminum spar extrusions were used in all three wing designs.

Make offer the wing.  Sorry, no shipping on this big honker.

Piper Vagabond elevator. Very good condition.  Might fit other Pipers too? $125, includes shipping to US addresses only.

Piper Vagabond horizontal stabilizer.  Might fit other Pipers too? Very good condition.  $125, includes shipping to US addresses only.

Be sure to clearly identify what it is that you want.

I don't do this for a living, not even for a side job.  This is a one time only deal.  When this stuff is gone.... it's gone!  Some of this stuff will get listed on Ebay, some will used by me for various airplane projects, some will simply get scrapped after I get tired of tripping on it.

If you want some of this stuff, email me an offer.  If I accept the offer, you can send me a check.  When the check clears, I'll send you your stuff.  You pay the shipping that we will agree on in advance, so include it in your check.  If it's a large item, like a wing, you'll have to arrange to pick it up at my home.

Important info: Everything shown on this page came from the Vincennes University, Vincennes Indiana, Aviation Maintenance shops.  VU had a training program for aircraft mechanics.  The program was dissolved and everything seen here came from the resulting auction.  None of these items have any records.  I don't know where they came from other than to speculate that some were donated to the school by various companies or individuals.  Other items may have been left by customers who had their aircraft repaired at the school.  I suspect that most of the items were left by customers because they wanted new parts installed during a repair job.  Some of the items might be brand new, some might work perfectly, some may have come from crash sites. You be the judge.

I can answer questions about the general condition, size, etc... but don't bother asking me questions about the history of any of these things.  I won't know anything other than that I bought this stuff on the auction on April 22, 2006.

Thanks, Vince
